Callers have been calling in expressing concern over their vote Feb. 5th here in Missouri. The station supports John Edwards and suggest that they go ahead and vote for him.

I know there has been a lot of conversation on here about a John Edwards movement. Maybe we can take note of this and get our voice out on TALK RADIO…Maybe request a song for John Edwards in his HONOR

My husband & I and my sister are still voting for John — how could we not? He will always have our support.

You bet! I’m contacting TV, radio, news papers, blogs, magazines, etc. There is a loud roar going on within the edwards blog site that needs to move beyond that site to the rest of the world. If all those people notify thier local news, this momentum could carry us through to win! This can be turned around. But we need to speak up..Stations can ignore one candidate, but the cant ignore a large public outcry that refuses to give up! Vote the People’s President!

I too will cast my vote for John Edwards on Feb. 5 in Ca. He is truly the one candidate that would have done something for the disenfranchised — and his message is the true message of change and hope. Shame on our media.

Forty five years ago when JFK and then RFK died, the light in my minds heart was snuffed out…John relit that light and gave me hope…there is no one else to vote for…he is The People’s President!

Since John Edwards got recognition from the media, and they admitted that he was the first and original to the message of bold chance, the first and most progressive in health care proposals, ending poverty, lifting the middle class, so on. Can we help and organize a short campaign to exhort America to vote for him, since he is still in the ballot. I know it sounds naive, too much wishful thinking perhaps, but highlighting the media own words on how John Edwards is the original and the other two just had to follow just for political convenience, it might work, can we do it?

I just recently made my decision to support JRE. I did not make that decision lightly & I will not walk away from it easily. I am an unaffiliated voter anyway, not a Democrat. Unfortunately, my primary is not until May 6. I urge all Super Tues. voters to vote for Edwards. You will not lose your vote. Votes = delegates = power. I trust JRE to use that power wisely.

I now call South Carolina home…but did not vote for their prodigal son just for that reason in the primary. I voted for John Edwards because he IS the BEST candidate for President!

He is the only one out of both parties that has my attention and makes me feel as though WE have a chance to turn this country around! The others? Well, they have their pet projects and lobbys that push their own agendas, they really are not helping to make this country a better place.

I think this is saying a lot about Edwards, as I typically am a Republican voter. As a result of seeing hope through his campaign, I have become more involved in the political process here locally and hope that I can help my country even just a little on my level.

Like the others here, I too hope he will consider either becoming an Independent or re-entering the Democratic fray.

John Edwards has framed the issues all along - Single Payer healthcare, not

Universal, lobbyists out of the elections, America taking care of and giving a

chance for affordable college, taking care of our Vets, bringing home our

people from Iraq within a year without permanent bases in Iraq, restoring

America and every issue until Obama and Clinton “borrowed” his populist stance.

But “borrowing” words is not a commitment to carry them out whichever

one gets the nomination for the general election.

That is why we must must must continue to vote for John Edwards on Feb 5

The more delegates he collects even though he has “suspended” his campaign (I

suspect because of the MSM essentially boycotting coverage of him and the

failure of the feds to match funds until March) the more power John will have to

extract a written committment from either or both candidates to adhere to John’s

and our populist issues

John Edwards gave me hope for future. I could not believe that he withdrew so soon. This is extremely depressing and disheartening. I will definitely be voting for him.

John Edwards is the right candidate to begin to restore this country. He is truly the candidate of change. I am afraid that Clinton and Obama will be more of the same. I had been worried from the beginning that the corporate media would shut Edwards out and have been fuming about the coverage. This just underscores why Edwards is the one - he was so threatening because he knows that the root of the problem is global corporate take over. He is the only one who articulated this because he understands that that is one of the contributing factors to poverty and inequality. I will continue my support for John Edwards.

I have worked on this wonderful campaign for almost a year and wouldn’t think of voting for anyone but JRE next Tuesday here in NYC! I am also running as an Edwards delegate, so in addition I will vote for myself, I still have hope that I could go to the convention for John, so if we all do vote for him, maybe we can turn conventional wisdom on it’s head! In addition to having worked for the finest candidate I have ever campaigned for, I had the privilege of meeting John, Elizabeth and so many other wonderful people on this journey. John Edwards has my vote on February 5th! The ill-fated decision of the National Democratic party to squeeze John Edwards out of the race and anoint either Clinton or Obama as the nominee due to gender and race was wrong! Once again the National Republican party can rely on the stupidity of the National Democratic leadership to hand over an election. In order to make certain that the ISSUES are addressed at the convention, we must vote for John Edwards so that neither Obama or Clinton have enough delegates for the nomination prior to the convention.

Please clarify the intent of this pledge! A vote for JRE in November would be a BIG mistake.

I continue to support JRE, but voting for him in November could give the election to the Republicans!!! It would drain crucial votes away from the Democratic candidate, and have the exact opposite effect of what was intended.

We absolutely must not have another Republican in the White House. If you’re not worried about Iraq or the effect on the poor and middle class of another Republican administration, then please consider what would happen on the Supreme Court. A Republican would give us another Scalito or Alito and, as progressives, we must do everything in our power to avoid that at all costs.

The intent is admirable, but please, PLEASE do not encourage people to vote JRE in the general! The primaries are where a vote for Edwards might mean something, but a vote in the general is dangerous! John himself would not wish this to happen!

I am so distressed at John’s decision to withdraw although I understand his rationale. Although I am not one to blame “the media” for everything, I just can’t understand why they simply refused to give him the coverage that he diserved. I really felt this election was the last one to restore what America was. Now that Edwards is out, I think that struggle is lost. There is no point in participating in rigged voting for pre-selected candidates. We tried and we were circumvented by not having a free media. It is obvious that Edwards was forced out. Tragic outcome for all Americans. I will definitely write-in Edwards if I get the opportunity.

As for the general election, please be practical and realize that a vote for someone other than the Democractic nominee is essentially a vote for the Republican candidate. Voting for John in Ohio March 4. I can’t seem to stand even looking at the other candidates or the political news now–the absence is so glaring and the admirableness quotient so much lower.

He shouldn’t be out of the race, either.

I will be voting for Edwards in NY. It is important that we show our support for the message and the cause that his campaign was unable to get the media to pay attention to I heard it loud and clear and I answer with a vote for John Edwards for President.

John is the only candidate talking about the economic injustice in America and the power elite don’t like it one bit. A vote for John is a voice.

My part of the country in Northwest Tennessee is very Union-based. I have seen my father go on strike with the United Steelworkers twice in my lifetime just to keep the benefits that he does have and get a promise that the company would not break for retirees. I have pledged my delegate vote to Edwards one week ago. I will continue to fight for workers’ rights. I never stopped supporting Edwards and I plan to continue on Tuesday.

John Edwards, you ruined my birthday yesterday, but this country needs you now, not four years from now. My 5th grade daughter wants to tell you that even George Washington took a vow not to seek office, and then went on to be the only unanimously elected president! I will vote for John.

I fell in love with the Edwards message, and I’m going to vote my heart in my primary next Tuesday. In the general election, I’ll vote for the whoever is the democratic nominee…

John’s campaign was the first ever that we supported monetarily…. We never could give much but we so thoroughly believed in him that we sent some dough whenever we could.I have never been so dissappointed as I was yesterday when he pulled out of the race before the middle of this country could have a voice.It is a sorry system when a few states, ( Four! Can you believe that!!)can determine our nominee…That, along with a media clamoring for news….clamoring for the unique, the different, the catty quarrels, the conflict, the gossip, the “history” makers because of gender or color !!!…..It made me crazy !! So if nothing else dear John has put me out of my misery and my intense frustration……But I resolved yesterday that I would still vote for this fine man…I could do no less because he is our only good choice to serve as President.There is simply no other option.

I called him the People’s President earlier today. That has an excellant ring to it and an even better message to send to the currupt powers that control our government and the media. Did anyone see how Ron Paul was treated at last night’s debate. He was ignored I was told. Anyone candidate who speaks the truth is ignored. Says alot for what the real problems are and how John Edwards was /is perceived and why they seem so delighted today not to have to think about him . Wolf Blitzer was so ridiculous tonight with his comments about H and O facing off together and how this is history making. What a boring debate without Edwards, and clearly, they have to kiss up to each other now, there is no buffer and no grownup to keep them on track!

I’m still voting for Edwards and so is my wife. I just can’t vote for Obama, and he’s my senator, he doesn’t take a stand on anything. I think Clinton just wants power. Neither one will fight for us.

In St. Paul on Tuesday night, John said “if you stand up for me and caucus, I will stand up for you”…….I’m still standing up for JRE on 2/5.

I will be going to our washington caucus and still volte for John, I hope to bring a group of delagates to the denver convention before it is too late and we lose the country to John McCain or
Mitt Romney. Obamha may be the new hope and Hillery might be the best hope for a woman president but neither will do any good if the Republicans can fight the fight they have been waiting, plaining and stratagizing for! As a Democrat, I want to diminish corporate control, not vote for two candidates who each received $100 million in corporate donations! There are potential scandals brewing for both and I hope the Democratic Party calls in the cavalry - John Edwards - to win the election in November! I’ve had five Republicans tell me since yesterday that they were planning to vote for JRE in November, and would never vote for HRC or BHO.

Just read the NYT Krugman OpEd and it sums up the media’s posthumous Edwards lovefest. Edwards led this primary in practically every way. Mr. O-catchphrase and Mrs. Day-One had 0 original ideas. I guess plagerism is only punishable if you’re in school. Everyone’s gushing about the first black president, the first woman president. Wake up America! A John Edwards comes along once in a generation, if that. Hope (not an Obama trademark….yet) born of ideas (not rhetoric) and the heart and guts to back it up. John, you’ve had my vote for the last year. You still have it.

My partner and I had both hoped to vote for John Edwards until October when my partner died with no universal health care available. John Edwards was/IS the only candidate who stands for the working people of America. He will get my vote 2/5/08. His withdrawal from the race is due to the influence of the media and BIG Corporate interest. It leaves the race in both parties to the “congloms” of America. I will still cast my vote for John in Ohio’s primary in March — it’s the only way I have to keep from turning away, and to keep his causes front and center in the campaign.

I urge all Edwards supporters — let your voice and John’s voice continue to be heard by casting your vote for John in your primary.

There is nothing worse than putting you heart and soul into a campaign, just to have you expectations dashed or cut short.
