Comment by deborah January 31, 2008 @ 5:11 amCallers have been calling in expressing concern over their vote Feb. 5th here in Missouri. The station supports John Edwards and suggest that they go ahead and vote for him.
I know there has been a lot of conversation on here about a John Edwards movement. Maybe we can take note of this and get our voice out on TALK RADIO…Maybe request a song for John Edwards in his HONOR

Comment by Jeff Palmer (blogmaster) January 31, 2008 @ 5:53 amEdwards still has my vote for California. He suspended his campaign but not his message nor the hope and direction that will bring back America to it’s rightful grace and beauty.
Comment by Patrick January 31, 2008 @ 5:53 amfor what it’s worth, my vote is for edwards here in md.
those other two will have a whole lotta work to do to earn my vote! if that’s even possible. until then, it still belongs to edwards, now, and any other time you need it!
Comment by kenshin January 31, 2008 @ 5:58 amI am STILL voting for John Edwards in California on Feb.5. I have a mind of my own and I will not let the media dictate who I should vote for.
Comment by Arlene Flores January 31, 2008 @ 6:03 amI have been crying all day . . . I cried in the shower and said to myself, “Damit! They can’t make me vote for someone I don’t want to! I will freaking write ‘John Edwards’ on my ballot, whether they count it or not! I won’t vote a lie!
Comment by Laurie January 31, 2008 @ 6:03 amI, too, have been crying all day. I can’t vote for anyone else. I pledged my vote for him before, and I can’t vote for anyone but John!

Comment by Kathy Hall January 31, 2008 @ 6:11 amBrainerd, MN
You bet! I’m contacting TV, radio, news papers, blogs, magazines, etc. There is a loud roar going on within the edwards blog site that needs to move beyond that site to the rest of the world. If all those people notify thier local news, this momentum could carry us through to win! This can be turned around. But we need to speak up..Stations can ignore one candidate, but the cant ignore a large public outcry that refuses to give up! Vote the People’s President!
Comment by Lisa January 31, 2008 @ 6:12 amI’m voting for J.Ed.
Comment by Coyotegirl January 31, 2008 @ 6:15 amI too will cast my vote for John Edwards on Feb. 5 in Ca. He is truly the one candidate that would have done something for the disenfranchised — and his message is the true message of change and hope. Shame on our media.
Comment by zelda January 31, 2008 @ 6:17 amI will write in John Edwards name even though he suspended his campaign. John is a man for the people, and someone who truly cares about the direction this country is headed in. He believes that EVERYONE, rich or poor deserves the freedom, liberties and promises that this country was founded upon. John Edwards should be president, he is the BEST choice !
Comment by Janiele January 31, 2008 @ 6:17 amJohn Edwards won my heart, based by a campaign of vision, committment to the American people and honesty….there is no substitute for John! Forty five years ago when JFK and then RFK died, the light in my minds heart was snuffed out…John relit that light and gave me hope…there is no one else to vote for…he is The People’s President!
Comment by sandieg January 31, 2008 @ 6:21 amIn the 2008 election only one candidate has heard, listened and responded to the voices of the American people and developed a comprehensive plan to address the issues most important to them. That man is John Edwards. He has earned the trust of the people who have taken the time to study the issues and consider all factors, including their impact on the lives and futures of those they hold dear. For that reason, I will cast my vote for John Edwards.
Comment by Lee Morgan January 31, 2008 @ 6:25 ami’m sticking with john!!! the way things are going, perhaps that suspended campaign will be back in play sooner rather than later and we can all breathe a huge sigh of relief!!! the entire edwards family is in our prayers and will continue to be. thank you - for all you have done for all of us!
Comment by heidi January 31, 2008 @ 6:32 amTHE PEOPLES PARTY - John Edwards, The People’s President, 08
Let’s launch THE WAR ON ERROR. Details on posts at http://www.blogjohnedwards.com
Comment by Sonja Mitchell January 31, 2008 @ 6:32 amSince John Edwards got recognition from the media, and they admitted that he was the first and original to the message of bold chance, the first and most progressive in health care proposals, ending poverty, lifting the middle class, so on. Can we help and organize a short campaign to exhort America to vote for him, since he is still in the ballot. I know it sounds naive, too much wishful thinking perhaps, but highlighting the media own words on how John Edwards is the original and the other two just had to follow just for political convenience, it might work, can we do it?
Comment by Javier January 31, 2008 @ 6:38 amI picked my candidate four years ago and I’m not budging. John Edwards gets my vote!

Comment by Alex Ford January 31, 2008 @ 9:18 amI’m so dissapointed that John Dropped out. But I’m hoping, maybe he can still catch vp. I’m still voting for him in the primary. What a sad day for america. Obama and Clinton, just don’t cut it for me. John Edwards, is a true American leader, and he should be the one leading, not retreating.
Comment by Tim Cummings January 31, 2008 @ 9:24 amSo long as this doesn’t become a Nader spoiler type of thing–I’m in. We can’t have the republicans in again.

Comment by mike D January 31, 2008 @ 12:49 pmI’m voting for John Edwards if he is still on Indiana’s ballot (in May). I just can’t support anyone else. America needs you John!!! We need the entire Edwards family.
Comment by Leslie January 31, 2008 @ 12:55 pmI WILL ONLY VOTE FOR JOHN EDWARDS, PERIOD.
Yesterday, it was not John Edwards ending his campaign, it was what the DNC more than likely TOLD him to do… step aside, John, let history be made…
All of us who support John Edwards know that there is no way he just decided to “step aside” and give up the cause of his life
Write the DNC and tell them you know they were behind the ousting of John Edwards. Obama and Clinton will be “swiftboated” in November and we will all lose.
Comment by Deborah Mortellaro January 31, 2008 @ 1:08 pmI WILL ONLY VOTE FOR JOHN EDWARDS ON FEBRUARY 5TH AND IN NOVEMBER.
Even though I am entrenched in Hillary Clinton territory in Westchester New York, I will proudly go to the polls next Tuesday and vote for the only true candidate that can change this country. I will not be told who to vote for by the Media or by Howard Dean and the Democratic Party.
Anyone in New York interested in a JE rally?
Comment by Lucas M January 31, 2008 @ 1:20 pmI just recently made my decision to support JRE. I did not make that decision lightly & I will not walk away from it easily. I am an unaffiliated voter anyway, not a Democrat. Unfortunately, my primary is not until May 6. I urge all Super Tues. voters to vote for Edwards. You will not lose your vote. Votes = delegates = power. I trust JRE to use that power wisely.
Comment by Patti L. January 31, 2008 @ 1:26 pmI will only vote for John Edwards. I just can’t fathom voting for anyone else. I truly can’t.
Comment by Heidi January 31, 2008 @ 1:47 pmCount me in - he is the only one who has all the right stuff this country is so sorely in need of.
Comment by Terry January 31, 2008 @ 1:48 pmMr. Edwards and family can count on my Vote in NC Primary and General Election.
Comment by Marla January 31, 2008 @ 1:56 pmVoting for Edwards in PA!
Comment by Natalie Minkovsky January 31, 2008 @ 1:59 pmI now call South Carolina home…but did not vote for their prodigal son just for that reason in the primary. I voted for John Edwards because he IS the BEST candidate for President!
He is the only one out of both parties that has my attention and makes me feel as though WE have a chance to turn this country around! The others? Well, they have their pet projects and lobbys that push their own agendas, they really are not helping to make this country a better place.
I think this is saying a lot about Edwards, as I typically am a Republican voter. As a result of seeing hope through his campaign, I have become more involved in the political process here locally and hope that I can help my country even just a little on my level.
Like the others here, I too hope he will consider either becoming an Independent or re-entering the Democratic fray.

Comment by Kathy Smith January 31, 2008 @ 2:03 pmColumbia, SC
Our Texas primary is not until March 4. I hope and pray John’s name is on the ballot because I do not want to vote for anyone else.
Comment by Mardee January 31, 2008 @ 2:13 pmJohn Edwards has my vote. Is. 25:4. For You have been a defense for the helpless, a defense for the needy in his distress.
Comment by mbflannery January 31, 2008 @ 2:16 pmJohn Edwards 4 ever. He is messianic, a phenomenon that is out of this world in decency, message, dedication…Let us make him our leader for America.
Comment by Isabel January 31, 2008 @ 2:17 pmMy vote is still Edwards!!!!!
Comment by Stephen January 31, 2008 @ 2:17 pmI will vote in California on Feb. 5 for John Edwards. He is the only candidate who has said NO new nuclear power plants and No new coal-fired power plants. He is the only one I trust on environmental issues, policies of which have been run by Washington lobbyists and corporate captains for years - even before Bush, but no question, magnified by Bush. His ability to stand up to these people is what is needed. For the Earth ~ here in Los Angeles….
Comment by Marcia Hanscom January 31, 2008 @ 2:24 pmWHY I’M GOING TO CONTINUE TO VOTE FOR JOHN EDWARDS ON FEB 5
John Edwards has framed the issues all along - Single Payer healthcare, not
Universal, lobbyists out of the elections, America taking care of and giving a
chance for affordable college, taking care of our Vets, bringing home our
people from Iraq within a year without permanent bases in Iraq, restoring
America and every issue until Obama and Clinton “borrowed” his populist stance.
But “borrowing” words is not a commitment to carry them out whichever
one gets the nomination for the general election.
That is why we must must must continue to vote for John Edwards on Feb 5
The more delegates he collects even though he has “suspended” his campaign (I
suspect because of the MSM essentially boycotting coverage of him and the
failure of the feds to match funds until March) the more power John will have to
extract a written committment from either or both candidates to adhere to John’s
and our populist issues
Comment by Madelyn January 31, 2008 @ 2:25 pmThe Earth needs John Edwards. He has my vote. Los Angeles, California
Comment by Marcia Hanscom January 31, 2008 @ 2:25 pmI will be adding his name to ballots and making my vote for Edwards all the way! We all need to rise to the occasion and vote!!!!! Besides he said he suspended his run for office not ended. I think this is a good sign of him either continuing the fight! John we need you more than you or anyone realizes!
Comment by LAURA PATTON January 31, 2008 @ 2:39 pmThis was the only canidate that brought the issues to the table. The first to have a universal health plan, the first to reject lobbyist money, the first to draw attention to the plight of the middle class, the poor, the homeless and this nation’s displaced vets. I voted for John in Florida even though the Dem Party has abandoned the entire state because a Republican Legislature moved our Primary up.Keep Voting for John, America Maybe the rest of the Nation will WAKE UP and realize we need a LEADER and not a dynasty!
Comment by Micahel January 31, 2008 @ 2:45 pmI’m from Iowa and had the great privilege to caucus for John. I believe he lost Iowa, in part, because of - there’s no other way to say this - cheating by anOther candidate.
Comment by Field of Dreams January 31, 2008 @ 2:47 pmI will write-in John Edwards in the general election.
I’m with John Edwards all the way! We are by far from the end of the road. Go John Go!!!!
Comment by Marline January 31, 2008 @ 2:50 pmI don’t believe John really gave up on us and I will not give up on him!
I will continue to support him and vote for him!
I will continue to endorse him on my Radio Talk Show and to hell with the Main Stream Media!
No one owns me or my vote!!!
~ Jazz
Comment by Jazz January 31, 2008 @ 2:52 pmI voted for John in New Hampshire, and will vote for him in November if I have to write him in!! For you who still have primaries, if you write him in they will have to count it , Right? May be if there are enough votes he will come back. We can hope the party will draft him to run at the convention, as I can’t see obama or clinton winning against mccain. Please pray for John, his family, our country and the world!!
Comment by Jill January 31, 2008 @ 2:52 pmScary News! A new poll released today Obama or Clinton both LOSE to McCain! We can’t afford to lose another election!!
I am still voting for Edwards! He is the candidate for CHANGE and he STILL has my vote! Edwards may have been forced out by the lack of media attention, but I will not let the National Media pick my next president! It is time for the AMERICAN PEOPLE to rise above the MEDIA HYPE study the candidates and VOTE with the REAL CHANGE CANDIDATE! Edwards will still be on the ballot and all his votes will COUNT!!!
Comment by Angie January 31, 2008 @ 2:52 pmThe point of the election is to select the best person for office. Edwards is the best person. I am voting my conscience, and if he is on the ballot where I live, he gets my vote.
Comment by ET January 31, 2008 @ 3:01 pmJohn is the only person I will vote for, even if I have to write his name in! My husband and son feel the same way! So that’s 3 votes from our house.

Comment by Jim January 31, 2008 @ 3:11 pmI will write in John Edwards
Comment by Field of Dreams January 31, 2008 @ 3:21 pmI am voting for the candidate that is best for this Country, John R. Edwards…Feb 5th in Alabama…every support I know is still voting for him…this is the first battle in our fight to end the stranglehold of corporate greed on our nation.
Comment by Sharron Williams January 31, 2008 @ 3:24 pmGO JOHN EDWARDS!!
John Edwards gave me hope for future. I could not believe that he withdrew so soon. This is extremely depressing and disheartening. I will definitely be voting for him.
Comment by Shalini January 31, 2008 @ 3:26 pmJohn Edwards has shown the kind of leader he will be – by LEADING the way in terms of tangible plans for healthcare, ending the war, rejuvenating the economy and more. He’s also shown the kind of MAN he is, by spending his time working with the people of New Orleans who still so desperately need it. It’s not a photo op for this man, it’s his calling. And I’m still behind him, despite being in tears at yesterday’s announcement. I’m ticked off that they’ve written off New Jersey to Hillary and I’m writing him in if he’s not on my ballot on Tuesday.
Comment by Patmo January 31, 2008 @ 3:27 pmI am in! My vote does matter, and voting for someone else that doesn’t believe in what I believe in is stupid. I will vote for John next Tuesday and in November. Keep hope alive!!!
Comment by The Gardening Guru January 31, 2008 @ 3:28 pmi voted for john in sc and will vote for him in nov. all the way to the white house
Comment by jean brinegar January 31, 2008 @ 3:34 pmI will be voting for John Edwards on Super Tuesday, and in November as well!
Comment by Kathy Smith January 31, 2008 @ 3:36 pmI will most certainly vote for John Edwards in November, and also attend caucuses all the way to Denver, as the delegate I was appointed for, to vote for him at the DNC.
Comment by Laura Grove January 31, 2008 @ 3:42 pmDemocacy in America, say no to Corporate America now! EDWARDS 08
Comment by Lisa January 31, 2008 @ 3:43 pmI will continue to fight the good fight. I am ABSOLUTELY voting Edwards on Feb. 5th here in CA.
Comment by Dora January 31, 2008 @ 3:44 pmI will vote in my heart what I know is right, and you all know what that is…but I challenge you to maintain the resolve that we grew together…if John Edwards is not on your ballot when you go to vote, WRITE IT IN!!!
Comment by Andrew La Brier January 31, 2008 @ 3:50 pmOne vote in Virginia for Edwards.
Comment by Chesapeake January 31, 2008 @ 3:51 pmI will support John all the way! I will vote for John in May here in Oregon, no matter what, and in November if he doesn’t direct me to do otherwise. Go Jooooohhhhhnnnnnnn!!!!!!!!!!
Comment by Patty (kermittt) January 31, 2008 @ 3:53 pmHi Andrew. Hear hear!!!
Comment by Patty (kermittt) January 31, 2008 @ 3:54 pmJohn Edwards is the right candidate to begin to restore this country. He is truly the candidate of change. I am afraid that Clinton and Obama will be more of the same. I had been worried from the beginning that the corporate media would shut Edwards out and have been fuming about the coverage. This just underscores why Edwards is the one - he was so threatening because he knows that the root of the problem is global corporate take over. He is the only one who articulated this because he understands that that is one of the contributing factors to poverty and inequality. I will continue my support for John Edwards.
Comment by Vivian January 31, 2008 @ 3:57 pmI have worked on this wonderful campaign for almost a year and wouldn’t think of voting for anyone but JRE next Tuesday here in NYC! I am also running as an Edwards delegate, so in addition I will vote for myself, I still have hope that I could go to the convention for John, so if we all do vote for him, maybe we can turn conventional wisdom on it’s head! In addition to having worked for the finest candidate I have ever campaigned for, I had the privilege of meeting John, Elizabeth and so many other wonderful people on this journey. We must keep going.
Comment by Chris Colligan January 31, 2008 @ 4:03 pmI want my voice heard! Im in. I will vote Edwards on Feb 5th.
Comment by Dana January 31, 2008 @ 4:11 pmI cannot bring myself to vote for anyone else. John Edwards deserves more delegates and the DNC needs to understand how his message was more than lip service. Despite whatever caused Edwards to suspend his campaign, he still has my vote.
Comment by MS January 31, 2008 @ 4:15 pmJohn, you have my vote in the NC primary
Comment by libladysue January 31, 2008 @ 4:16 pmand in the general election as well. I
have voted in every election since 1972
and many times have had to vote for the
lesser of two evils. At 57 years old I
refuse to compromise any longer!! I’ll
write you in on my ballot if necessary.
My heartfelt thanks for all you have done
as the standard bearer of the issues that
are most important to all of us! I love
you and Elizabeth very much and keep you
both in my prayers. I know you won’t
forget us. We will not forget you!
Of course my household will still be voting for John in the Massachusetts Primary on Tuesday. I hope you’ll all do the same in your states!
Comment by Jen Hendrey January 31, 2008 @ 4:18 pmCount me in!! No one is going to limit my choices and take my candidate away. JE is the best natural born leader we have in this nation. We need him now more than ever. I worked both times on his campaign in the heat, cold, and rain, and I will not give up that easiyl My vote will be heard. My vote is JOHN EDWARDS. We the people will be HEARD!!!
Comment by peggy January 31, 2008 @ 4:19 pmthank you! I take the pledge!!
Here’s a new JE blog in case the JohnEdwards.com blog folds suddenly:

Comment by Kate Loving Shenk January 31, 2008 @ 4:23 pmJohn Edwards has my vote on February 5th! The ill-fated decision of the National Democratic party to squeeze John Edwards out of the race and anoint either Clinton or Obama as the nominee due to gender and race was wrong! Once again the National Republican party can rely on the stupidity of the National Democratic leadership to hand over an election. In order to make certain that the ISSUES are addressed at the convention, we must vote for John Edwards so that neither Obama or Clinton have enough delegates for the nomination prior to the convention.
Comment by Cindy Holcomb January 31, 2008 @ 4:25 pmI for one will vote for John Edwards. He is the only one who is for the people.
Comment by Last Call January 31, 2008 @ 4:26 pmYes, I’m still with John Edwards and will be voting for him in the WA State caucus.
Comment by Jim D January 31, 2008 @ 4:29 pmwe will be voting for edwards in new orleans on february 9!
Comment by barb January 31, 2008 @ 4:34 pmHope you reconsider, Mr. Edwards. Voted for you last election and will vote for you again on Tuesday in MO.
Comment by Phyllis January 31, 2008 @ 4:39 pmI am permanent absentee voter. I have already voted for John Edwards here in CA. My husband is going to still cast an Edwards vote on Tuesday. I am so disappointed. A person with plans and solutions. This is a great loss for the American people. And the two other candidates are still arguing with one another like children.
Comment by Suzi January 31, 2008 @ 4:39 pmPlease clarify the intent of this pledge! A vote for JRE in November would be a BIG mistake.
I continue to support JRE, but voting for him in November could give the election to the Republicans!!! It would drain crucial votes away from the Democratic candidate, and have the exact opposite effect of what was intended.
We absolutely must not have another Republican in the White House. If you’re not worried about Iraq or the effect on the poor and middle class of another Republican administration, then please consider what would happen on the Supreme Court. A Republican would give us another Scalito or Alito and, as progressives, we must do everything in our power to avoid that at all costs.
The intent is admirable, but please, PLEASE do not encourage people to vote JRE in the general! The primaries are where a vote for Edwards might mean something, but a vote in the general is dangerous! John himself would not wish this to happen!
Comment by Wordie January 31, 2008 @ 4:42 pmI’m still voting for John Edwards!!! He’s the only genuinely honest one that really cares about us and I believe he would make a difference!!! It’s sad to see how far money really takes you.
Comment by Carla Cox January 31, 2008 @ 4:54 pmI’m voting for JRE in my May Kentucky Primary.
Comment by PMORLAN January 31, 2008 @ 4:58 pmI am so distressed at John’s decision to withdraw although I understand his rationale. Although I am not one to blame “the media” for everything, I just can’t understand why they simply refused to give him the coverage that he diserved. As soon as they closed the focus to Clinton and Obama, Edwards was just shut out-so unfortunate and unfair.
Comment by Mary C. Valand January 31, 2008 @ 5:00 pmI will be voting for John in Virginia.
Comment by Margaret January 31, 2008 @ 5:05 pmI’m in for John all the way!
Comment by tessablue January 31, 2008 @ 5:09 pmVoted absentee for John yesterday in Louisiana, and the bumper sticker stays on my car. We need this man and his ideals and his family.
Comment by KatherineD January 31, 2008 @ 5:11 pmI have already early voted in Tennessee, and if I hadn’t then I would still vote for JRE on Feb. 5th. My heart breaks thinking about the changes in our country that I now fear will not happen. Sad time for our country.
Comment by Julie Powers January 31, 2008 @ 5:11 pmjules1962
I will vote my conscience, my heart and my head. I will vote for John Edwards.
Comment by Mary Detrick January 31, 2008 @ 5:12 pmYou better know it!!! I am with John to the end!!
Comment by Tina Willis Rodriguez January 31, 2008 @ 5:15 pmJohn will have my vote in PA on 22. He’s not on the ballot yet, but I’m ging to start circulating petitions. If you know anyone else in PA, tell them to do the same so we don’t have to write hime in. We only have until February 12 to circulate and deliver the petitions. Go here for instructions (and be sure to follow them to the letter if you want those signatures to be valid!)
Comment by Nancy January 31, 2008 @ 5:18 pmI really felt this election was the last one to restore what America was. Now that Edwards is out, I think that struggle is lost. There is no point in participating in rigged voting for pre-selected candidates. We tried and we were circumvented by not having a free media. It is obvious that Edwards was forced out. Tragic outcome for all Americans. I will definitely write-in Edwards if I get the opportunity.
Comment by jeanruss January 31, 2008 @ 5:20 pmI blame the media for making this a 2 candidate race
Comment by Dalell Diane Mohmed January 31, 2008 @ 5:29 pmhe got my vote in FL this week and I am still wearing my button and shirt PROUDLY!
Comment by cindy January 31, 2008 @ 5:35 pmJohn Edwards has thorough, well-planned ideas that will make a positive difference in our lives. He has the ability to work with congress to make those ideas real. He has the passion and motivation to stay true to those ideas. I will vote for John Edwards on Feb. 5 in IL!
Comment by Katie January 31, 2008 @ 5:39 pmI won’t be voting for anyone but John in Wisconsin’s February 19th primary. When we’ve had the best — forget the rest!
Comment by Jane Gebel Prentice January 31, 2008 @ 5:42 pmWhen you’ve got the best - forget the rest!
I’ll be voting for John Edwards in Wisconsin’s primary on February 19. Join me!
Comment by Jane Gebel Prentice January 31, 2008 @ 5:44 pmVoting for John on February 19, in Wisconsin’s primary.
When you’ve found the best - forget the rest!
Comment by Jane Gebel Prentice January 31, 2008 @ 5:46 pmI am a John Edwards supporter. My vote is not for sale, or up for grabs. I am not abandoning John Edwards campaign, or the issues upon which it has been based. I will not go down, and am prepared to fight!
Comment by Mares January 31, 2008 @ 5:56 pmStill voting for John Edwards on Super Tuesday in Delaware.
Comment by Mildred Laakko January 31, 2008 @ 5:57 pmDeal me in. This election is no longer about John Edwards the man, but the movement that has coalesced around him.
Every vote is a voice of dissent, every voter a man or woman that cannot be bought with petty rhetoric.
Lets all give them hell.
Comment by Ned January 31, 2008 @ 5:57 pmI will absolutely vote for John Edwards. I feel like I’m twisting in the wind after yesterday’s announcement, but I cannot just give up and go vote for one of the others. They are not the real deal, and John Edwards is!
Comment by Stephanie January 31, 2008 @ 6:01 pmAbsolutely! ..
My vote is for John Edwards!
John Edwards for President of the United
Comment by Shaina January 31, 2008 @ 6:03 pmStates of America!
I will be writing in John Edwards name in November. He is the only person who will make a difference. If John had received the news coverage that he got yesterday, things would be cifferent. I will always believe in John and Elizabeth Edwards
Comment by Kristy Mundt January 31, 2008 @ 6:09 pmCount me in as well.
Comment by Susan Nunes January 31, 2008 @ 6:12 pmJohn has my vote…..He is my first and only choice.
Comment by Michelle January 31, 2008 @ 6:12 pmCount me in, too.
Comment by Susan Nunes January 31, 2008 @ 6:13 pmHow can we not vote for the only candidate qualified to be the next president of the United States!
Comment by Louise in Florida January 31, 2008 @ 6:21 pmI am for JRE in NC primary!!
GO JOHNNY GO!
Comment by Buddy R January 31, 2008 @ 6:22 pmAfter very carefull consideration I made my decision to support the canditate who consistantly took the high road and kept bringing the other canditates back to the issues. I will vote for and continue to support John Edwards.
Comment by Gene Kennedy January 31, 2008 @ 6:29 pmWhat are the two most important issues to you in this campaign?
Comment by tj48-n8ruh January 31, 2008 @ 6:35 pmI’m in in Nevada! John, we need you, America needs you, stay the course, fight the fight to the end!
Comment by Carol January 31, 2008 @ 6:38 pmI will NEVER give up hope. I had the privilege of hearing him speak and it was so moving it brought me to tears. He sincerely touched my heart and soul. I will vote for him until the end.
Comment by Elaine January 31, 2008 @ 6:38 pmI voted for him in the Florida Dem primary (not that it mattered); I strongly urge you all to vote for him on Super Tuesday and beyond. As for the general election, please be practical and realize that a vote for someone other than the Democractic nominee is essentially a vote for the Republican candidate. We simply cannot afford another Republican in the White House, especially in light of the fact that further Supreme Court appointments are coming (the 3 oldest justices are the only progressives left)
Comment by Karin January 31, 2008 @ 6:46 pm#100
Comment by john from 661 January 31, 2008 @ 6:47 pmI’ll vote for Edwards on Feb.5th and
in November.
WE need you john now more than ever.
I’m in!!!!!!
Comment by Debbie Nesworthy January 31, 2008 @ 6:48 pmHey dose anyone think Mr Edwards realize this movement is going on?
I’ve been a supporter since the 2004 election that was stolen,And when I stop this crying all my friends and family I’m positive will follow us.
He is the ONLY choice!!!!!
I have my absentee ballot and his name is on it, so you better believe while I can vote for him, I certainly shall!!
Now that he’s “stepped aside” my excitement has gone down the drain for this election. I just wonder if he hadn’t , how much of the popular vote he would’ve gotten?
Comment by Aimee January 31, 2008 @ 6:49 pmI already did caucus for John (Iowa), but I plan on voting for him in November.
I still think that the two novelty candidates will self-destruct (think Rezko & gifts to the Clinton library), and the way will clear for John to Un-Suspend his campaign! (Boy, do I wish!)
Comment by AHMIowa January 31, 2008 @ 6:51 pmI will vote for JRE in Wisconsin Feb. 19
After that I won’t be voting FOR anyone.
Comment by neaguy January 31, 2008 @ 6:53 pmI voted for John in early voting in Illinoia!
Comment by NurseVal January 31, 2008 @ 6:54 pmI’m for JOHN!!!!
Comment by Alicia January 31, 2008 @ 6:57 pmOur Candidate may chase windmills and dreams of service to the people and the poor people and the homeless and our abandoned Veterans.
Comment by Michael F. Sarabia January 31, 2008 @ 7:00 pmHis life and deeds are an inspiration we all need and do not deserve.
Not since Thomas Jefferson have we known such an intellect.
Not since Lincoln have we seen a more brave man willing to fight for the defenseless of all Ethnic groups.
His nobility of spirit only reminds me of the life of St. Francis of Assissi. Who also talked to liars, crooks and donkeys.
*Whence come Another!!*
Voting for John in Ohio March 4. I can’t seem to stand even looking at the other candidates or the political news now–the absence is so glaring and the admirableness quotient so much lower.
Comment by Kelly January 31, 2008 @ 7:04 pmHe shouldn’t be out of the race, either.
Comment by ldeg January 31, 2008 @ 7:04 pmI will be voting for Edwards in NY. It is important that we show our support for the message and the cause that his campaign was unable to get the media to pay attention to I heard it loud and clear and I answer with a vote for John Edwards for President.
Comment by Laura in NY January 31, 2008 @ 7:07 pmJohn is the only candidate talking about the economic injustice in America and the power elite don’t like it one bit. A vote for John is a voice.
Comment by ik January 31, 2008 @ 7:14 pmI really hope he reconsiders. It’s such a shame that the media has completely ignored him.
Comment by Hope D January 31, 2008 @ 7:14 pmMy part of the country in Northwest Tennessee is very Union-based. I have seen my father go on strike with the United Steelworkers twice in my lifetime just to keep the benefits that he does have and get a promise that the company would not break for retirees. I have pledged my delegate vote to Edwards one week ago. I will continue to fight for workers’ rights. I never stopped supporting Edwards and I plan to continue on Tuesday.
Comment by S Bates January 31, 2008 @ 7:14 pmI am still voting for John Edwards Feb 5th.I will continue his message!!!!!!!!
Comment by Ann January 31, 2008 @ 7:19 pmJohn has my vote on Super Tuesday!
Comment by Jennifer H January 31, 2008 @ 7:20 pmI can’t believe that Edwards, the only consistently principled candidate is out. The U.S. needs him. Although a student of U.S. politics, I am Canadian, so let me assure you from a foreign perspective, the WORLD needs Edwards. His election could really restore the good name of the U.S.A. in every democracy.
Comment by Malcolm Greenshields January 31, 2008 @ 7:22 pmvoting for edwards in ohio, on march 4th
Comment by jen January 31, 2008 @ 7:22 pmJohn Edwards, you ruined my birthday yesterday, but this country needs you now, not four years from now. My 5th grade daughter wants to tell you that even George Washington took a vow not to seek office, and then went on to be the only unanimously elected president! I will vote for John.
Comment by Kathy K. January 31, 2008 @ 7:23 pmI will be voting for John Edwards on Feb.5th here in Missouri! There’s no way I could ever vote for anyone else & live with myself. Hearing the news of him dropping out was like a kick in the stomach! We need John Edwards!!!!!
Comment by Jayna January 31, 2008 @ 7:27 pmI will only vote for the candidate who is honest, self-sacrificing, and who truly cares what happens to America more than what happens to him politically. That person is —JOHN EDWARDS.
Comment by Di January 31, 2008 @ 7:27 pmI will vote for John Edwards on Tuesday and will continue to support him. My two daughters and my husband will also vote for him. He has many supporters in Alabama. The media cannot control my vote by ignoring John Edwards!
Comment by teresita January 31, 2008 @ 7:31 pmI will caucus for John on Tuesday, Feb 5 in MN.
Comment by Marilyn in MN January 31, 2008 @ 7:32 pmI will gladly caucus for John on Tuesday, Feb 5 in Minnesota.
Comment by Marilyn in MN January 31, 2008 @ 7:34 pmI will gladly vote for John on Tuesday, Feb 5 in Minnesota caucuses.
Comment by Marilyn January 31, 2008 @ 7:35 pmI ALONG WITH THE REST OF YOU WILL BE VOTING FOR EDWARDS—MAYBE WE CAN CARRY THE BALL FOR A TRUE TOUCH DOWN!
Comment by kERRY January 31, 2008 @ 7:41 pmFor almost four years, I have waited to vote for John Edwards for president. My daughters, both whom have reached voting age (one 18 and one 19) have also waited for this election so they could vote—and vote for John Edwards. We have been so excited and looking forward to Feb.5 and for us all to go and vote together for John Edwards. We will STILL vote for him and continue to support him and his cause. My bumpersticker will remain on my car and I will not back away.
Comment by teri January 31, 2008 @ 7:43 pmJohn Edwards has my vote for 2008 no ifs ands or buts. I am going to vote for John Edwards on my ballot on Tuesday the 5th
Comment by Theodore Reed January 31, 2008 @ 7:43 pmAll the way for John!!!!!
Comment by Patti Patten-Carlen January 31, 2008 @ 7:47 pmI’m in Nevada- voted for John and a volunteer. My vote will be for John in November or no one else.
Comment by Jill M. January 31, 2008 @ 7:48 pmLet’s all keep this going, for John Edwards truly is the only one that could ever beat the Republican, and turn this country around for us - the American people. KEEP VOTING JOHN EDWARDS!!
John has my vote in the NY primary next Tuesday! He is the only candidate not owned by corporate interests and the only candidate I will support.
Comment by Melanie M January 31, 2008 @ 7:51 pmI think this will be the most important vote that my wife and I will ever make. Screw the media for what they’ve done to this election so far.
Comment by Michael Bettencourt January 31, 2008 @ 7:55 pmI too will be voting for Edwards in November, even if I have to write him in.
As a new New York resident, I will gladly join in a JE rally. Just let me know when and where.
Comment by Casey M January 31, 2008 @ 7:59 pmI voted for John edwrads and volunteered for his campaign in NH. My husnband is a Teamster. I cannot imagine voting for anyone else in November. I also still cannot believe what transpired yesterday. Go John Edwards supporters Go!
Comment by Paula Pierce January 31, 2008 @ 7:59 pmThis is so amazing and so wonderful. GO JOHN EDWARDS SUPPORTER GO!
Comment by Paula Pierce January 31, 2008 @ 8:03 pmYou fall in love in the primary…
and fall in line in the general…
I fell in love with the Edwards message, and I’m going to vote my heart in my primary next Tuesday. In the general election, I’ll vote for the whoever is the democratic nominee…
Comment by Trish January 31, 2008 @ 8:09 pmJohn’s campaign was the first ever that we supported monetarily…. We never could give much but we so thoroughly believed in him that we sent some dough whenever we could.I have never been so dissappointed as I was yesterday when he pulled out of the race before the middle of this country could have a voice. It is a sorry system when a few states, ( Four! Can you believe that!!)can determine our nominee…That, along with a media clamoring for news….clamoring for the unique, the different, the catty quarrels, the conflict, the gossip, the “history” makers because of gender or color !!!…..It made me crazy !! So if nothing else dear John has put me out of my misery and my intense frustration……But I resolved yesterday that I would still vote for this fine man…I could do no less because he is our only good choice to serve as President. There is simply no other option.
Comment by Ruthie January 31, 2008 @ 8:11 pmIf he’s still on the CA ballot on Feb. 5th, I am voting for John!
John, please come back!
Comment by Kim January 31, 2008 @ 8:12 pmI called him the People’s President earlier today. That has an excellant ring to it and an even better message to send to the currupt powers that control our government and the media. Did anyone see how Ron Paul was treated at last night’s debate. He was ignored I was told. Anyone candidate who speaks the truth is ignored. Says alot for what the real problems are and how John Edwards was /is perceived and why they seem so delighted today not to have to think about him . Wolf Blitzer was so ridiculous tonight with his comments about H and O facing off together and how this is history making. What a boring debate without Edwards, and clearly, they have to kiss up to each other now, there is no buffer and no grownup to keep them on track!
Comment by Paula Pierce January 31, 2008 @ 8:14 pmI’m still voting for Edwards and so is my wife. I just can’t vote for Obama, and he’s my senator, he doesn’t take a stand on anything. I think Clinton just wants power. Neither one will fight for us.
Comment by Jon January 31, 2008 @ 8:15 pmThe DNC has done everything possible to lose the electoral votes in Michigan and Florida. Now with Edwards out. They will lose the election. Defeat from the Jaws of Victory.
Comment by Coldwarrior January 31, 2008 @ 8:16 pmVote for John Edwards regardless. The only candidate that can win.
I am a Californian and I have already voted for John. If I had it to do all over again my choice would be the same. I will write him in, in the General as well.
Comment by Mary Hartland January 31, 2008 @ 8:17 pmStill voting for Edwards in MO….I will not let the national media and corporate money tell me who to vote for…..Vote Edwards, The People’s President
Comment by Bobby January 31, 2008 @ 8:19 pmJohn still has my vote in IL.
Comment by Paula January 31, 2008 @ 8:22 pmI’ve given so much to this Campaign over the past few months; 16-17-hour days for two weeks straight in Iowa and South Carolina. I don’t intend to stop now, just because the corporate media station says we should. When did Americans stop making decisions for themselves? I’m a little sick of watching us being dragged around by our ears . . .
Comment by Jesse T January 31, 2008 @ 8:27 pmI am with Edwards all the way. If on the ballet in Pa i will vote for Edwards. I have been with him since 2004 and always will be.
Comment by Melissa Stima January 31, 2008 @ 8:36 pmI’m in Massachusetts and John I’m still voting for you in the primary. Now get back into this race and Win for goodness sake!
Comment by Mike LaRocca January 31, 2008 @ 8:39 pmCome on John don’t let the media shut you out keep fighting you are the Best Man for the Job!
Comment by Mike LaRocca January 31, 2008 @ 8:41 pmYea!! me too!
Comment by kat in puyallup January 31, 2008 @ 8:44 pmMy husband and I early voted. We were full of hope when we voted. We wouldn’t change our vote but we are left wondering why John Edwards left before super Tuesday. Why?
Comment by pam gronemeyer January 31, 2008 @ 8:53 pmWho else would I vote for? In my mind there is no other choice.
Comment by Kathleen W January 31, 2008 @ 9:04 pmI am confused as to why he left but I’m voting for him anyway.
We won’t forget you, John!
Dear John,Elizabeth and family,
Comment by Brenda Dirden January 31, 2008 @ 9:20 pmI am so saddened by your “Stepping aside” and “suspending’ your campaign. But I know that your
reasons are not for yourself. You are a great man and I know that we have not heard the last from you. thank you for raising the bar. God Bless you.
In St. Paul on Tuesday night, John said “if you stand up for me and caucus, I will stand up for you”…….I’m still standing up for JRE on 2/5.
Comment by SWBacon January 31, 2008 @ 9:22 pmI will be going to our washington caucus and still volte for John, I hope to bring a group of delagates to the denver convention before it is too late and we lose the country to John McCain or
Comment by Gary Gold January 31, 2008 @ 9:23 pmMitt Romney. Obamha may be the new hope and Hillery might be the best hope for a woman president but neither will do any good if the Republicans can fight the fight they have been waiting, plaining and stratagizing for! The fight of race and gender against a “Black” man or a “Bitchy” women..their words, not mine!
Let’s all envision JE being drafted at the convention! I’d already sent in my absentee ballot in CA when he decleared “suspension.” I’d have voted no matter what. We need his integrity more than ever.
Comment by JforJEdwards January 31, 2008 @ 9:23 pmWe can only trust that the decision was reached prayerfully and painstakingly. Our prayer is that
Comment by Kathleen Leary January 31, 2008 @ 9:25 pmthe remaining candidates WILL honor their promise to keep at the forefront of their campaigns the issues that were the passion and lifeblood of John and Elizabeth.
You can still count on my vote John and my sister’s! I’d rather not vote if it’s not going to be for John Edwards the man with a plan! It’s just not worth it. I was really looking forward to seeing him on tonight’s debate in L.A. Now I won’t even watch. I’m not going to watch two adults act like children fighting back and forth about lies and accusations. How shameful. We need John darn it. John is the best man for the job. I still can’t believe he “suspended” his campaign. He was the only candidate that caught my attention and spoke about the topics that mattered. He never received money from those corrupt lobbyists or PAC’s. I can’t trust anyone else but John to lead this country in the right direction. Anyone else will just screw us over.I guess their goes my hope for a free college education and healthcare for every American:(. I’M VOTING FOR JOHN ON TUESDAY NO MATTER WHAT!!!
Comment by Daisy January 31, 2008 @ 9:39 pmI will vote for John and hope that he somehow can still be a candidate in November. This is the time for an Independent candidate and John needs to be that candidate.
Comment by Debbie January 31, 2008 @ 9:41 pmCount me in too! John Edwards has had my vote from day one and nothing is changing my mind on Feb. 5th - he still has my vote!!!
Comment by Linda January 31, 2008 @ 9:44 pmWill vote for JRE in the MS primary.
Comment by Blue Mississippi January 31, 2008 @ 9:48 pmWe still love you John, if you don’t win it….there is no hope for the Dems…..I still don’t understand, but I guess it’s all for a reason….I still have hope and will be voting for U
Gwen
Comment by Gwendolyn January 31, 2008 @ 9:48 pmEspecially after seeing the debate tonight, John Edwards is the only salvation this country has!!!!!
Comment by Michelle F. January 31, 2008 @ 9:54 pmMy vote is for JRE 2/5/08 in AZ super Tuesday!!
Comment by Gracie Peterson January 31, 2008 @ 10:00 pmJRE on 2/5
Comment by Christina January 31, 2008 @ 10:02 pmI’m sticking with him for Super Tuesday as well.
Comment by baseballmuse January 31, 2008 @ 10:14 pmLet’s see, McCain= Republican, Hillary= Republican-lite, Obama= Moderate Republican in sheeps clothing.
With no Democrats running in the 2008 election, I am left with nothing but a write-in. That’ll be for Edwards.
Comment by Franklin January 31, 2008 @ 10:16 pmI will definitely vote for John Edwards. You see, I have a small story to share. My husband died from cancer on November 25th of 2007. His words to me was be sure and vote for John Edwards. He believed in him and so do I. I just hope this works. I didn’t realize we could still vote for him, with him pulling out of the race. God bless the Edwards!
Comment by Wanda January 31, 2008 @ 10:23 pmGod bless you, Wanda, and I’m sorry for your loss. Almost all of my friends and family are sticking with Edwards here in California on Feb. 5th. As a Democrat, I want to diminish corporate control, not vote for two candidates who each received $100 million in corporate donations! There are potential scandals brewing for both and I hope the Democratic Party calls in the cavalry - John Edwards - to win the election in November! I’ve had five Republicans tell me since yesterday that they were planning to vote for JRE in November, and would never vote for HRC or BHO.
Comment by Linda January 31, 2008 @ 11:37 pmWorked for him in 04 and am not giving up again.
Comment by Patty Maxey January 31, 2008 @ 11:50 pmWill vote for Edwards!
Just read the NYT Krugman OpEd and it sums up the media’s posthumous Edwards lovefest. Edwards led this primary in practically every way. Mr. O-catchphrase and Mrs. Day-One had 0 original ideas. I guess plagerism is only punishable if you’re in school. Everyone’s gushing about the first black president, the first woman president. Wake up America! A John Edwards comes along once in a generation, if that. Hope (not an Obama trademark….yet) born of ideas (not rhetoric) and the heart and guts to back it up. John, you’ve had my vote for the last year. You still have it.
Comment by Jeremy February 1, 2008 @ 12:13 amI have already voted for John Edwards, My husband is voting for
Comment by Isabelle February 1, 2008 @ 12:31 amhim too!
I am not ready to make nice.
Let’s not give up on our support for John Edwards to stand up for ALL Americans. My partner and I had both hoped to vote for John Edwards until October when my partner died with no universal health care available. As a result, I feel more strongly than ever that an Edwards Presidency is our best chance for ALL in our country to have equal access to quality health care, as has been the case in so many other countries for years. I remain encouraged from all the previous comments here to continue believing that this can still be possible if we all stand up for John to return to the race. Let’s give him our full support on February 5th!
Comment by John Olsen February 1, 2008 @ 2:45 amI dont thank John knows just how many peolpe was on has side he said he was in it for the long haul ,So we were waiting for to end to vote him in ,And i well still vote for him.
Comment by Ky mike February 1, 2008 @ 3:55 amwill add this site to my blog. really hope that we can get a grassroots thing going! I want my candidate back!!!
Comment by denise faircloth February 1, 2008 @ 4:18 amJohn is still the best candidate out there. He’ll have my support!
Comment by Kim February 1, 2008 @ 5:52 amI will vote for John Edwards and work for all the issues he framed before anyone else. I believe he will continue the fight for one America. Thanks for starting this website.
Comment by pilotsdaughter February 1, 2008 @ 6:15 amJohn Edwards was/IS the only candidate who stands for the working people of America. He will get my vote 2/5/08. His withdrawal from the race is due to the influence of the media and BIG Corporate interest. It leaves the race in both parties to the “congloms” of America. I hate to say this but the Democratic Party has learned nothing. We continue to be controlled by the Elite from the Ted Kennedy wing of the party.
Steve Segrest
Comment by steve segrest February 1, 2008 @ 6:22 amJohn Edwards is “the MAN”!!
Comment by Jessica February 1, 2008 @ 6:24 am“Do not turn away from these great struggles before us. Do not give up on the causes that we have fought for. Do not walk away from what’s possible, because it’s time for all of us, all of us together, to make the two Americas one.”
These were John’s words near the end of his “suspending my campaign” speech.
I will still cast my vote for John in Ohio’s primary in March — it’s the only way I have to keep from turning away, and to keep his causes front and center in the campaign.
I urge all Edwards supporters — let your voice and John’s voice continue to be heard by casting your vote for John in your primary.
Keep the pressure on Barack and Hillary to honor their promises to John.
Comment by wpchas February 1, 2008 @ 6:53 amIm in.
Comment by Austin Gruenweller February 1, 2008 @ 7:33 amI’m in!. His fight will continue..too bad the media dind’t do their job!
Comment by Roxi February 1, 2008 @ 7:33 amMy wife and I are voting for John Edwards on Feb. 5th I am taking my yard sign and placing it out in front of my polling place. I urge everyone to do this that has a sign.
Comment by Mark February 1, 2008 @ 7:42 amI am voting for Edwards in the primary in Illinois. Strangely, it was very windy in Chicago the day John suspended his campaign and the Edwards sign in my front yard blew away. A portent? I will not take off my Edwards ‘08 bumper sticker. support and VOTE.
I will be voting for Edwards on Feb.5th in Illinois and I will be writing his name on the ballot in November. Edwards is the only candidate (democratic or republican) not backed by Wall Street. He is the only one who speaks for me.
Comment by Margaret February 1, 2008 @ 8:35 amAbsolutely! I still believe he’s the only hope for the Democrats ~ and sanity ~ to retake the White House in 2009! Remember ~ there’s still the convention to come….
Comment by Jan February 1, 2008 @ 8:44 amI supported John in 93,94,07 & 08 and will continue supporting him as long as I live.

Go John !!!!!!
Comment by Jill February 1, 2008 @ 9:40 amAt age 19, this is the first presidential primary I will have the opportunity to vote in. I will proudly cast that vote for JRE, because this election is too monumental to concede to the status quo.
Never give up.

Comment by Don Jones February 1, 2008 @ 11:21 amI am too old to have to mind someone! I am 60-wife , mother ,grammie and educator.I am too old to have to vote for someone I really don’t want to see as president.Sorry, but I can’t jut fall in line and go with the flow and be a good Democrat this time. In the last election I “had “to vote for Kerry, and did –look what happened!
Comment by peggy February 1, 2008 @ 11:26 amSo this time I am sticking to my guns, digging in and voting for the one person I truly believe is the best for our country–John Edwawrds.I am not a revolutionary, but feel I must do something to take a stand. In other words,my vote will be for John Edwards.
Mr. Edwards,if you read this, you do have a following of loyal workers out here who would work 24/7 to see our dreams and yours come true. Even though your message can be read and spoken by others, it’s not the same. This time it’s about the messenger ,not just the message. Please consider getting back in the race, you are missed.
There is nothing worse than putting you heart and soul into a campaign, just to have you expectations dashed or cut short. I will go to my caucas in Washington State either as an independent or for John, but as far as Novemeber goes I will vote for Hillary or Obama, the alternative is too harsh to even think of. You’re wasting your vote. I have done that, been part of the movement to split the vote. That’s what the Republicans want.
Comment by Joyce Kalivas-Griffin February 1, 2008 @ 11:38 amJohn you put up a good fight, but you should have stayed in longer. Your power was in the spoken word and the debates. I donated to your campaign from the beginning, even though I knew you would have a tough road ahead. The “Liberal Press”, Republicans and the American people don’t want to hear the truth about the poor and the homeless, about those without insurance. Good luck I wish you were still in it.
Voted for Edwards today via mail-in ballot! No one else comes close.
Comment by Lynda Hillman February 1, 2008 @ 11:46 amI am still voting for John Edwards on Super Tuesday here in NJ. I want John to win the nomination and make a differance for us all!
Comment by Ian Silberstein February 1, 2008 @ 12:14 pmTwo more votes for John on Tuesday coming from our household -nd we live in NY - so-called Hillaryville.
Sorry, Chris Matthews and Andrea Mitchell, Jessica Yelin and Supremely Stupid Scarborough Joe, Wulf Blitzer and Anderson Cooper - sorry all you high-paid pundits - you aren’t telling US WHO TO VOTE FOR!!!!!!!!!!!
Comment by price & pam gibbs February 1, 2008 @ 12:15 pmI will vote for Edwards because the other two are just bling, empty talk and prea
